Princes Park Garden Centre, a local community hub in the heart of Irlam has won a prestigious award in the Kings Birthday Volunteer Awards 2023 and quite right too, the work they do with the community is remarkable. This is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE. Princes Park Garden Centre volunteers and staff members - Bill McLaughlin The hub operates a fully stocked garden centre as well as a retail area, a charity shop, an onsite café and a busy calendar of community events throughout the year, there is always a hive of activity in and around the garden centre. The work they do is outstanding and the award is hard earned and much deserved. It offers a warm friendly environment for them in a fully operational garden centre, where they are able to learn new skills and become part of their collective family.
