Good news for sufferers of Multi Sclerosis with the opening of the new MS Therapy Centre North West based in Eliza Ann Street, Patricroft. Their aim is to enrich the lives of people with Multiple Sclerosis by providing therapies in a caring, supportive and positive environment. They used to be based in Trafford and in 2019 purchased the Singh Brothers three story building in Eliza Ann Street, Patricroft. Covid however slowed down the process of totally renovating the premises and now the first floor is open. It can boast of having two barometric oxygen chambers which can seat eight people in each, who then breathe in pure oxygen which causes the dilated and leaky blood vessels in MS to constrict back to normal size and reduces the swelling. This oxygen treatment is not just for MS sufferers but for people with varying neurological conditions, forms of cancer and other conditions which would benefit from Oxygen treatment. Future plans include installing lifts to get access to the upper two floors were there will be a gym, Yoga and Tai Chi classes, counselling rooms, a drop in center and staff offices. There is a small but dedicated management team along with some 20 volunteers who help with the day to day running of the centre.
