This Morning's Holly Willoughby has quit the beleaguered show following revelations that police had foiled a plot to kidnap and murder her. In a statement shared on Instagram, Holly wrote: "I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together." Police alerted bosses of at ITV following the arrest of a 36-year-old man named as Gavin Plumb, who has been remanded into custody and charged with soliciting another man named as David Nelson to commit murder and kidnap. Plum is said to have put together a kidnap and restraint kit which was to be used in the plot. The TV star has been provided an around the clock security detail and is being supported by both the TV company and Police. The presenter had only just returned to hosting the show following the departure of co-host, Phillip Schofield who had been embroiled in scandal over his misguided but legal relationship with a younger back room staff member. It is unknown as to who will permanently replace Holly on the famous Sofa as some call for the show to be cancelled and replaced with something different and fresh.
