    TIGER MOTH LAUNCHES AS HUB FOR RUGBY FANS

    Salford Red Devils supporters were out in force recently, at a Salford Reds Rugby League ‘launch night’ to promote the fantastic Tiger Moth Pub in Irlam becoming a focal point and hub for not only Salford Reds fans but Rugby League supporters in general.

    The Salford Reds Foundation and the Reds Supporters Trust took part in the evening that included the showing by the Reds Foundation of the iconic Salford Rugby Club film ‘Willows Memories’ and the chance to talk and meet players Dion Cross and new signing Jamie Pye.

    Winger or Centre Dion is in his second season with the Reds, he told supporters that he was delighted with how training had gone and that he felt this year that the playing squad were stronger and had bonded together well, with the hope of yet more signings to come in.

    Whilst 6’ 5” second rower Jamie Pye was delighted to sign for Salford and looking forward to the challenge after signing his first contract in Super League. The players were warmly welcomed by the enthusiastic supporters in attendance.

    Neil Blackburn talked about the Reds Foundation and the work they do in the community, whilst Shirley and Alan Bradshaw from the Salford Reds Supporters Trust were on hand to sign up new members and talk about their fundraising and support for the Club.

    Seamus McCallion said,

    “A warm welcome always awaits at the Tiger, and we want to build on this night and make it a great place for fans to meet before and after Salford matches. We will hopefully be having special events at the pub to promote Salford Red Devils Rugby League Club and make it a go to destination for all rugby league supporters.”

    On the night there was the chance to buy some reds memorabilia, sign up for the lottery, take in memorabilia display and bid for a Dion Cross match worn short from last Season with winning bidder and Salford fan Tracey Kelly delighted to win the shirt and have her photo taken with players Dion and Jamie.
