    Christopher Kofi Taylor (26/12/1975) of Dorothy Street, Salford on Wednesday 5 March 2024 was sentenced to life imprisonment at Manchester Crown Court for four counts of rape of a female under 16, trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence, and section 47 assault after pleading guilty.

    He will serve a minimum of 11 years and four months.

    Officers were called to an address in Trafford just after 6am on Monday 23 August 2021, to reports a 15-year-old had been attacked in an isolated incident.

    Detective Constable Emma Bentley from Greater Manchester Police, said;

    “Taylor’s treatment of a vulnerable young female was shocking and deplorable. Predatory behaviour like this should never be tolerated and eradicating it is a top priority.

    “Her courage to come forward and give evidence has enabled us to pursue this prosecution. Though these offences have a lasting impact on victims, it is my hope this result provides some sense of closure.”
