Officers in Salford are appealing for information after a teenager had his Specialized bike stolen in Salford. Two males dressed in black and wearing balaclavas, one on an electric bike and one on a moped, rode past the 15-year-old victim on Chatsworth Road, Worsley. One of the men then chased the teenager down a small footpath that leads to the White Horse pub at around 6pm on Tuesday 5 March. The suspect threatened him with a zombie-style knife that was in his waist band, forcing the victim off his bike and making off with it onto Worsley Road. The bike is valued at almost £4,000. PC Dale McAllister, from Salford's Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: "This was a frightening incident for a young person to have to go through and he quite rightly he wants his bike back. "Thankfully this type of incident is quite rare but we are hoping that someone in the area at the time may have seen something.” Anyone with information, dashcam footage or who was in the area at the time should contact police on 0161 856 5134 quoting log 2654-05/03/2024.
