A host of festive fun and frolics awaits you at the Brierley Community Hub Christmas Fair this December. Join them on Saturday 16th December from 11am – 2pm for a family friendly day out, with lots going on for all ages. Visit their Santa Letter Writing workshop, enjoy lots of Christmas themed games, do a spot of shopping in their pop-up Christmas market and even meet Santa and his elves in their grotto. Enjoy live music and relax with a tasty treat from their on-site café and try your luck with their raffle and tombola. They guarantee a warm welcome for all and an afternoon that everyone will love. Brierley Community Hub and Café is one of five community hubs run by Aspire for Intelligent Care and Support in the Salford area. Based on Longshaw Drive, next to the Little Hulton Family Centre, the community hub supports older persons and people with learning disabilities or complex health needs. The Christmas Fair follows the success of their recent Harvest Festival, where the centre opened their doors to local residents who enjoyed an afternoon of live music, food tastings and more. “We had such a great afternoon at our Harvest Festival, that we decided to host another event in the run up to Christmas, but this time it’s even bigger and better. We welcome you all to join us, to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon for all the family. There’s something for everyone and it’s a great opportunity for you to come along and try our café too, which is open every weekday” said Gaynor Jacobs, Service Manager for Brierley Community Hub. The Brierley Café is open every weekday from 9.30 – 3.30pm, and offers a selection of sweet treats, delicious home cooked food and daily specials. From now until the end of January, Seniors aged 55 and over can enjoy Soup and a Roll, or a Hot Drink and Cake, for just 99p each, every Tuesday. There’s no need to pre-book a ticket for the Christmas Fair, simply pop along on the day and enjoy! For more information, please call 0161 799 0656 or email brierley@iamaspire.org.uk
