Work has started on Logicor’s new ‘Bolton330’ 330,000 sq ft warehouse in Little Hulton, a project set to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification, one of the highest standards for sustainability in building construction.

This collaboration marks the first time Logicor, a leading logistics real estate owner and operator in Europe, has enlisted Glencar for a project. The warehouse, designed to be at the forefront of sustainable construction, will incorporate advanced energy-efficient systems, sustainable materials, and innovative water management solutions to meet the rigorous criteria of BREEAM Outstanding certification.

Completion is estimated for the late quarter of 2025, with work taking place over 54 weeks on the 20-acre site off Lester Road. The site was formerly occupied by the Littlewoods and Very Group buildings but they have now been demolished.

Eddie McGillycuddy, Managing Director of Glencar, commented on the project, stating:

“We are delighted to be working with Logicor on this pioneering project. Achieving BREEAM Outstanding status is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable buildings that meet the needs of our clients and the environment.”

Strategically located in Little Hulton, Salford, this facility aims to serve the expanding logistics and distribution needs of the Northwest. The warehouse’s construction is anticipated to stimulate the local economy by generating employment opportunities and supporting regional businesses.

The project underscores a shared vision between Glencar and Logicor for a sustainable future in logistics real estate. As construction progresses, both companies are focused on maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability, setting a new benchmark in the industry.

The new warehouse will not only boost the regional logistics infrastructure but also set an example for future developments in sustainable construction. The project’s successful completion will be a significant milestone, highlighting the growing importance of environmentally conscious building practices in the logistics sector.
