In the autumn of 2024, the Boothstown Residents Association had the idea of showcasing the rich history and heritage of Boothstown. Seeking support from the Worsley Civic Trust and Boothstown Village Hall, the goal was to create an accessible and engaging plinth to be situated at Standfield Precinct Green.We popped down to speak with local councillor for Boothstown and Ellenbrook, Bob Clarke, to find out more.

Tony Flynn took a trip to Salford Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday for the launch of an exhibition of artist Liam Spencer's work entitled Irwell: Afterlife. A pictural record of the reawakening and rebound of both the river and the wildlife which lives in and around it, following the decline of industrialisation in the area.
