three arrested following a stabbing on an adelphi street car park

Police are investigating an incident which took place close in a car park to an apartment block on Adelphi Street yesterday afternoon (8th June), during which a 20-year-old man was stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital and is said to have serious injuries consistent with the use of a knife.

Three men aged 18, 19 & 20, have since been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and have been remanded into custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for GMP, said:

“At around 12:15pm yesterday (8 June 2024), police were called to reports of a disturbance on Adelphi Street in Salford. A group of men were reported to have been fighting in the street.

“Police attended and three men, aged 18,19 and 20, were arrested. They remain in custody at this time for questioning. One man age 20 was taken to hospital with serious injuries, although thankfully these are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
