The Met Office is warning of strong winds as it issues a Yellow Warning for gusts of up to 70mph accompanied by blustery showers in some parts from tomorrow evening (Weds 10th March) as a band of wet and windy weather tracks across the country from the West. Travellers on the regions roads are being warned to expect possible delays and drivers of high side vehicles are being advised that they should take care, especially on exposed higher ground and when passing over the M60 motorway bridge at Barton. An upodated Yellow warning of rain has been issued from 1300 until 2300 on Sat 27 May. Showers are expected to develop early Saturday afternoon over North Wales and the Midlands and then track north or north eastwards during the rest of the day into the evening. Whilst many will miss the worst of the showers some places could see 30 mm of rain in an hour or less along with frequent lightning and hail.
