Fans have been left furious after Salford Red Devils was handed a £15,000 fine with half of it suspended after failing to fulfil a scheduled fixture against Warrington Wolves on Friday 30th of October. The club claims it was unable to field a team as it had been left with just 13 players available for selection as a result of 'fixture congestion' from the clubs involvement with the Challenge Cup Final. As a result, Warrington was handed a 24-0 victory and referred to the leagues compliance department for not complying to the leagues covid protocols for withdrawing from such a fixture
