  1. Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace the family of a woman from Salford. Jean Turner, aged 90, sadly passed away at The Broughton Care Home in Salford on Monday 19 October 2020. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. If anyone has any information about Jean’s next of kin they should contact the Bolton police coroner’s office on 0161 856 4687.
  2. Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace family of man from the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester. Ian Howarth, aged 61, passed away at his home on Kirkwood Drive on Wednesday 14 October 2020. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. Anyone with information about Ian's next of kin should contact the Police Coroner’s Office in Manchester on 0161 856 2334.
  3. Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace the family of a man who lived in Swinton. Stewart Thompson, 73, has sadly passed away at his home address on Melbourne Street, Swinton on 14 September 2020. Police say that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. If anyone has any information about Stewart’s next of kin they should contact the Bolton Police Coroner’s Office on 0161 856 4687.
  4. Police are appealing for the public's help to trace the next of kin of a man from Salford. Alan Rhodes, 75, passed away at his home address on Silver Street, Irlam on Saturday 5 September 2020. Alan may have had a brother named John who also lives in the Salford area. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. Anyone with information about Alan's next of kin should contact the Police Coroner's Office in Bolton on 0161 856 4687.
  5. Robert, aged 81, has sadly passed away at his home address of Rockbank, Lower Broughton Road, Salford on 26 July 2019 and police are trying to find members of his family to inform them. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.   6. Michael Martin from Salford was first reported missing on Monday 8 August 2016 and was last seen at a petrol station on Bolton Road in Kearsley at 7.30am on Sunday 7 August 2016. There have been no further reported sightings of Michael - who was 25 when he went missing- and following immediate enquiries, detectives launched a murder investigation the following week. Today marks the two year anniversary of when Michael was last seen. Detectives are working to establish the circumstances surrounding Michael’s disappearance and are treating the investigation as a non-body murder.
  7. At around 3.30 on Tuesday 25 April 2017, the victim was walking across the pedestrian crossing on Hankinson Way, Salford, to catch a bus when he tripped up and fell over. He was immediately approached by the offender, who helped him to his feet and then walked off. Moments later the victim realised that when he was being helped back to his feet, the offender had slipped his wallet out of his pocket. The wallet contained family photographs of the victim’s son, who has recently passed away, which hold great sentimental value. It also contained £100 cash, bank card
  8. He held the knife to the woman’s face and ordered her to hand over any money she had. He then raped her at knifepoint. The man left the address sometime later and police were called. The offender is described as white, aged somewhere in his 20’s to 30’s and of medium build with dark hair. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a dark hooded top or coat with dark coloured bottoms. Detective Inspector Carl Gilbert of GMP’s Trafford borough said: “This is an absolutely shocking incident and one that is sure to cause much concern to anybody who hears about what has happened. W
