Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace the next of kin of a man from Salford Romendo Shekhar Dewan, 89, has sadly passed away at his home address at Ascot Court, Salford on Monday 29 March 2021. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. Anyone with information about Romendo’s next of kin should contact the Police Coroner’s Office in Bolton on 0161 856 4687.

  3. The family of a 35-year-old woman, who sustained significant injuries as a result of a collision in Old Trafford, have made an appeal to the public for information. Shortly after 10.10pm on Friday 29 January 2021, police were called to reports of a collision between a grey Smart ForFour and a cyclist on Chester Road at the junction with Sydney Street. Emergency services attended and the cyclist - the 35-year-old woman - was taken to hospital with serious head injuries where she remains in a critical condition.   5. Police have released E-fit images of two men they want to speak to following an assault in Salford. At around 7pm on Wednesday 12 August 2020, police were called to reports of an assault at the tennis courts in Boothsbank Park, Boothbank Avenue. Enquiries established that the victim - a man aged in his 30's - had been playing tennis when he was attacked by a group of approximately ten people.   6. Officers were called around 11.55am on Wednesday 20 January 2021 to a report of two men behaving suspiciously on Fairmount Road, Salford. Extensive enquiries have since established that two men had gained entry to a house on the street by smashing a bi-fold patio door to the rear of the property. Stewart Thompson, 73, has sadly passed away at his home address on Melbourne Street, Swinton on 14 September 2020. Police say that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.   12. Michael Martin from Salford was first reported missing on Monday 8 August 2016 and was last seen at a petrol station on Bolton Road in Kearsley at 7.30am on Sunday 7 August 2016. There have been no further reported sightings of Michael - who was 25 when he went missing- and following immediate enquiries, detectives launched a murder investigation the following week. Today marks the two year anniversary of when Michael was last seen. Detectives are working to establish the circumstances surrounding Michael’s disappearance and are treating the investigation as a non-body murder.
  13. At around 3.30 on Tuesday 25 April 2017, the victim was walking across the pedestrian crossing on Hankinson Way, Salford, to catch a bus when he tripped up and fell over. He was immediately approached by the offender, who helped him to his feet and then walked off. Moments later the victim realised that when he was being helped back to his feet, the offender had slipped his wallet out of his pocket.
