Swinton Lions have announced the immediate departure of half-back Declan Patton. This decision comes after an approach from another club, leading to discussions between Swinton, Patton, and the interested club. The Lions concluded that it was in the best interest of all parties to allow Patton to leave, parting on good terms.
Despite his brief tenure at Swinton, Patton’s impact was noteworthy. He joined the Lions in December 2023 after stints with Warrington Wolves, Salford Red Devils, and Bradford Bulls. In his short time with Swinton, Patton’s skills were evident, as he played a crucial role in recent matches.
