Swinton Lionesses Secure Decisive Victory Against Illingworth in Double-Header Clash

In an exhilarating double-header clash at Heywood Road, the Swinton Lionesses emerged victorious, defeating Illingworth Ladies 30-10.

The match began with Illingworth’s Jess Oldroyd scoring the first try, but the Lionesses quickly regained control. Lucy Baggaley and Emily Haley each scored tries, with Jodie Morris successfully converting both. Illingworth’s Holly Waddington added another try, yet the Lionesses continued their dominance with further tries from Emma Dwyer and Emily Haley. Morris’s conversions and a stellar drop goal by Emma Dwyer sealed the win.

Despite a challenging start, Swinton showcased their strength and determination, making a strong statement for the Lionesses.
