    Salford Red Devils

After a second successive win at the AJ Bell, Salford's Red Devils have successfully placed themselves into the play-off positions in the Betfred Super League.

    Watson said:

“This is what we worked all preseason for. To give ourselves a sniff of an opportunity.

“We’ve got that and today it was important that we backed our result up from last week by getting a win, so it puts us in a play-off position.

“I know there’s a long way to go, but we’re proving people wrong at the moment.”

Evalds, Mossop, Hastings and Olpherts all scored try's for Salford, but there was much praise for Salford's impressive second half defence who were instrumental in taming Castleford's Tigers.

    Watson said:

“There were a lot of players who were outstanding today across the board.

“As a team, we had a defensive attitude today and they can be proud of the defensive performance they put in there.”

Salford are to head off to battle Wigan's Warriors on Friday on their home turf at the DW stadium
