Earlier today, specialist teams commence a detailed search for Stuart Everett’s remains in a new location, focusing on an area of Worsley Woods, specifically the Roe Green Loopline starting at the junction of Worsley Road with Greenleach Lane.

Officers will be patrolling the area to provide support to the local community, while efforts are made to minimize disruption. However, access to the area will be limited as small, methodical searches are conducted. Further searches will be carried out in the same manner over the coming weeks.

Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Smith from the Major Incident Team commented:

“We are thankful for the community’s understanding of the immense amount of work being undertaken by the entire force.

“We remain committed, dedicated, and focused on our task. This search is another example of our ongoing efforts to diligently and respectfully pursue our work for Stuart and his loved ones, who continue to endure these tragic and upsetting circumstances.

“As we have done from the start, we will keep the public updated on our progress. This case has personally affected us all, and we ask for your continued support over the weekend by avoiding the search area where possible.”
