Salford students have been praised for their hard work and determination as they collected their GCSE results this week.
Councillor Jim Cammell, Lead Member for Children and Young People’s Services, congratulated young people across the city, saying:
“A huge well done to all Salford GCSE students. We’re immensely proud of their commitment. Our young people have been supported every step of the way by families, teachers, schools, and carers. We wish them all fulfilling and successful futures.”
He added that the council is committed to making Salford a “child friendly city” – a place where young people feel safe, supported and empowered to thrive.
For those who didn’t quite get the results they hoped for, plenty of help and advice is available. School careers advisers and local services can guide students through the next steps, whether that’s college, apprenticeships or training.
