People on a Salford street say ‘ridiculous’ parking is making their lives a misery.
They say the issue is blocking bin collections and ambulances trying to make their way through.
The residents, who live on Change Way in the city centre, said parking has been a problem for years, and welcomed plans from Salford council to put down double yellow lines.
The residential neighbourhood is just off the busy Blackfriars Road and Trinity Way.
When the Local Democracy Reporting Service visited the area on July 29, there appeared to be single yellow lines on the street which had faded away in some areas.

Some people on Change Way said they have to drag their bins to the other side of the street so that it can be emptied on collection day. Others claimed the issue has caused arguments on the street.
Stephen McIntosh, 38, said: “There’s a couple of disabled people in this area but ambulances can’t get on the street. If someone is ill how do they get help? I support these double yellows going in, it will make a difference.”
Sean Woods, 34, added: “The parking issue is ridiculous. It’s been a problem for about five years.
“We have to take our bins down the street because the bin men can’t get through. We really need these double yellows. It’s caused by people going to work and leaving their cars here all day.”
David Marshall, 58, said: “My neighbours have to leave their bins on the road because the bin men can’t get through, or ambulances.
“We have a rat problem because people are parking on the pavement [and damaging it], but it’s not engineered for cars.
“It’s a social issue too and it’s caused conflict and is making neighbours miserable.”
Salford council is planning to put down double yellow lines along Change Way and other streets in the area to tackle problem parking.
Several roads in the Greengate West and Bridgewater Street area will be part of the scheme to limit on-street parking in the neighbourhood.
The council was contacted for comment.
