A Person has sadly been killed as a result of a crash on Water Street in Manchester which lead to a section of Regent Road in Salford along with a number of other roads in the surrounding area being cordoned off.
The accident took place at around 2:53am in the early hours of Friday morning (5th July).
Police remained on scene for most of the morning to gather evidence, we are told that the road has now fully reopened.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said:
“Emergency services are responding to a serious collision that occurred on Water Street, Manchester at around 2:53am this morning (Friday, July 5 2024). A scene remains in place while our Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue their investigation.
Anyone who may have dashcam footage which could help police in their investigations should contact them via 101.
