  • CLAREMONT BY ELECTION CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED

    Elections

    Five candidates will contest the Claremont by-election on Thursday 5 October 2017.

    The candidates have been announced as nominations to enter the election closed at 4pm on Friday 8 September. The candidates are:

    * Mary Ferrer, Independent
    * Stef Lorenz, Liberal Democrats
    * Mike Pevitt, Labour Party
    * Daniel Towers, Green Party
    * Charlotte Woods, Conservative Party

    The by-election was called to find a replacement for Councillor Joe Murphy who passed away earlier this year.

    Residents in the Claremont ward now have until 19 September to register to vote if they have not already done so.

    Polling stations in the ward will be open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 5 October, the day of the election.

    Soapbox will be live with the election results as they come in.
