Five male juveniles were arrested in Ivy Park, Eccles, following reports of males carrying knives in the area. The local Eccles, Irlam & Cadishead police team responded quickly, successfully detaining the suspects despite their attempts to flee.

During the operation, officers seized two bladed articles and a large quantity of Class A and Class B drugs. The situation intensified when one of the juveniles was also arrested for dangerous driving. This charge was based on video footage showing reckless driving through Eccles town centre earlier this month.

Further investigation led to a search of the juvenile’s home, where police recovered a motorbike believed to be stolen, adding to the ongoing inquiry.

Local police are urging the community not to tolerate illegal drug activity, knife crime, or anti-social behaviour. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or crimes by calling 101, 999, or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously.
