Police officers are continuing to investigate an incident of affray which took place at around midday yesterday (Wednesday 22 May 2024) on Cleggs Lane in Little Hulton, Salford.
Reports were made to police that there was a group fighting with knives which was initially believed to be an attempt robbery.
The extent of the injuries suffered is still unclear at this time.
A 24-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of offensive weapon, affray and burglary and remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Michael Sharples of our Salford district said:
“Since the report yesterday we have moved at pace to try and identify those responsible and know people in the area will have access to dash cam footage in particular in the moments leading up to and during the altercation.
“At this time, we believe three people are outstanding and we are actively working with the resources available to us to track them down.
“Patrols have been increased in the immediate area to keep you safe in the meantime as we understand this news will shock the local community.
“We will be relentless in our pursuit of these individuals as acts of violence as brazen as this are not only alarming but have severe consequences.
