Swinton Lions are set to welcome back a familiar face, as Jordan Brown rejoins the team for the remainder of the 2024 season. This strategic move is expected to fortify the squad as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
Brown, spent two seasons with Swinton spanning 2021 and 2022, before subsequently spending the last two years on the Salford Red Devils reserve squad.
The 23 year old, who is based in Warrington, made 13 appearances with the Lions during that initial stint, and scored a first Swinton try during their big League 1 win at West Wales Raiders in their promotion season.
Head Coach, Alan Kilshaw, explained the reasons for offering Jordan another opportunity.
He, said:
“Jordan is a player well known to us from his previous stint, but he was only a young lad at that time and we feel he still has a lot of potential.
He’s been in a Super League environment for the past two years and most recently has been the captain of Salford reserves. He has gathered experience under three good coaches and now re-joins us with a lot more under his belt.
Jordan is a big size and has good skill-set for a middle, so we’ve brought him in for the remainder of the season, with the possibility of extending his contract beyond 2024.”
