Ethan Ryan’s Round 10 effort nominated for try of the month

A stunning team effort against Huddersfield Giants, finished by Ethan Ryan, has been nominated for Super League’s Try of the Month.

Nene Macdonald had already scored a brilliant try of his own, breaking 80 metres from an interception, but Salford’s second was a thing of beauty.

From a quick play-the-ball, Marc Sneyd stepped his man and flung a pass to Ollie Partington in centre-field.

The loose-forward went quickly to Kallum Watkins and his engagement at the line allowed space for Chris Atkin to receive the pass and tip the ball onto Macdonald.

He sold the dummy to Ryan before breaking the line and finding his winger – this time cutting inside – to send him racing towards a jubilant Salford faithful.

It certainly is a worthy nomination for May’s award.

The other nominees include Wigan’s Abbas Miski, Leigh’s Josh Charnley, Huddersfield’s Elliot Wallis, St Helens’ Jack Welsby and Castleford’s Tex Hoy.

Take a look at the contenders below and head over to OurLeague HERE to vote for Ethan!
