Eccles RFC has successfully hit its crowdfunding target for new facilities, thanks to the incredible support from members, fans, and the local community, they have managed to raise a staggering £36,000, far exceeding their initial target of £25,000.
The “Rugby for All” campaign will fund clubhouse upgrades, better training areas, and inclusive facilities for everyone, including those with disabilities.
These improvements will support the club’s diverse programs, including youth development, women’s rugby, and disability rugby, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the sport.
Eccles RFC are recognised as a leading provider of sport in the Eccles area and with an emphasis on participation the club has over 500 active members, fielding 22 teams for Men, Women, Boys and Girls, from U5s to Vets.
This latest achievement highlights the community’s dedication to promoting rugby and ensuring a welcoming environment for all within the community. The money will be spent well on new facilities which will enhance training and match experiences, attract new participants and foster the club’s growth.
The club has since extended it’s crowdfunding efforts in the hope that they can raise the required amount to complete phase 2 of the project which includes enhancements of the social space as well as new furniture.
The club wishes to extend a massive thank you to everyone who contributed! Stay tuned for updates on the project’s progress on the Eccles RFC Crowdfunding Page.
