BlueLight Appreciation Day - Salford Red Devils

Salford Red Devils are set to host a special event celebrating the region’s emergency and health services at their next Betfred Super League game against Hull FC. This annual Blue Light Appreciation Day, scheduled for Sunday, July 7th, promises a day of family fun and community engagement, with the main event being an exciting 80 minutes of playoff-chasing rugby league.

In keeping with tradition, Blue Light workers will be able to purchase tickets for just £5, exclusively available in the East Community Stand. Those interested can secure their discounted tickets through the team’s dedicated platform.

This year’s theme focuses on “keeping Salford safe and healthy,” emphasizing the vital contributions of local health organizations. These organizations will be in attendance to showcase their services and share important health messages with the community.

One of the key attractions outside the stadium will be Salford City Council’s health improvement van, which will distribute leaflets on various services and health-related campaigns. Additionally, numerous stalls will be set up outside the stadium, featuring representatives from Diabetes Awareness, Audiology, and the Northern Care Alliance, among others yet to be confirmed.

Paul King, the Managing Director of Salford Red Devils, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, he said:

“Following on from our Armed Forces Day event, where everything contributed to a fantastic day for the Club, we are excited to show our gratitude for the incredible emergency services in just under a fortnight’s time,

“They play such an important role in our community, and I am thrilled we are able to recognize their work with this dedicated fixture.”

King also shared his anticipation for the event, saying:

“I am looking forward to seeing everyone on July 7th for what is set to be another great day.”

The Blue Light Appreciation Day not only highlights the critical work of emergency and health services but also offers a platform for the community to engage with and learn from these essential organizations. It promises to be a day filled with informative activities, community spirit, and thrilling rugby league action.
