POLICE FIND BODY OF A MAN IN THE CANAL ON WHITWORTH STREET, MANCHESTER
Police searching for a missing man from Bolton have found a body.

National News

Shortly before 2:50pm on Tuesday 5 June 2018, police were called to Whitworth Street West in Manchester City Centre to reports that a body had been found in a canal.

Officers attended and found the body of a man.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed that this is the body of 19-year-old Orlando Nyero.

The last confirmed sighting of him was just after 3:35am on the morning of June 3rd leaving the Jurys Inn Hotel on Great Bridgewater Street in Manchester City Centre.

Orlando had been for a night out with his brother and two friends before going back to the hotel. 

There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

His family are being provided with support from officers at this time.
