A MAN FROM SALFORD HAS BEEN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH A STABBING IN LEVENSHULME
A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Manchester.
Madhi Husseini (21/03/93), of Heaton Street in Salford has been charged with Possession of an offensive weapon, Attempted Section 18 Assault & Possession of a knife in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday 6 October 2020.
At around 6.10pm on Tuesday 1 September 2020, police were called to reports of a stabbing at the Madina superstore on Stockport Road in Levenshulme.
A 19 year old man was chased into the shop before being stabbed in the back with a knife.
The man was rushed to hospital but his injuries were not life threatening.
Police were treating the incident as an attempted murder at the time.
Updated: a 17 year old girl has since been arrested in connection with this attack
Emergency services were called to an incident at around 3.25 pm this afternoon in which a teenage girl was found to be suffering from a stab wound after being attacked on Paddington Close in Pendleton
Police were quickly on scene and cordoned off an area around Sycamore Court and St Paul's C of E Church.
A rapid response until was first on scene, quickly followed by an ambulance to transport the girl to hospital.
The teenagers injuries are thought not to be life threatening but this latest stabbing comes not long after another teenager was stabbed in the leg in Weaste earlier this month.
And a man was stabbed in the neck not far from where this latest incident took place

Emergency services were called to a stabbing at a block of flats on Kiwi Street in pendleton on Monday morning.
At around 11am police received a call saying that a man had been stabbed in the neck.
The victim who is in his early 20's had suffered a serious but non life threatening injury for which he was taken to hospital to be treated, he remains there this evening.

Shortly before midnight (07 Aug) Police were called to the scene of a stabbing incident in Weaste in which a 16 year old boy was attacked by a group and stabbed in the leg.
This comes after reports of knives being used during thefts in several Salford parks over the past week.
