17-YEAR-OLD BOY CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER A STABBING IN IRLAM
A 50-year-old man has died as a result of stabbing injuries at a house on Silverdale Avenue, Irlam.

Police were called to an incident in Irlam at around 3pm on Friday, upon arrival at the scene on Silverdale Avenue they discovered a 50-year-old man with injuries consistent with having been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died due to his injuries on Saturday evening.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with the mans murder, a 48-year-old woman named by police as Nancy Smith (14/6/71) of Manchester Road East, has also been charged with assisting an offender.

The 17-year-old can not be named for legal reasons.

Both have been remanded into custody and are set to appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Monday 2 September 2019.
