GUS MAFUTA SIGNS FOR SALFORD CITY
Midfielder Gus Mafuta becomes the twelfth signing of the summer, agreeing a two-year deal with Salford City

Midfielder Gus - who turns 22 on Sunday - started out with Colchester United's youth set-up before moving on to Bristol City. He captained the Robins' Under-21 side during the 2013-2014 season and had loan spells with Weston-Super-Mare and Nuneaton Town (then in the Conference Premier).

After six influential appearances for Nuneaton an injury ended Gus's season but after being released by Bristol City in the summer of 2015 he signed a short-term deal with National League Gateshead in September..

A string of impressive performances earned a contract extension and Gus went on to make in excess of sixty appearances for the Heed.

A powerful box-to-box midfielder, Gus is another impressive addition to an already formidable squad and we'd like to offer him a warm welcome to Moor Lane, as well as many happy returns for Sunday !
