Police searching for Tomasz Swietek who went missing from Salford Royal Hospital on the 1st August have announced that they have sadly found a body.
Although no formal identification has taken place so far, his family have been informed.
The 45-year-old was reported missing from Salford Royal Hospital on the 1st August and was later spotted on CCTV close to Centenary Bridge in Eccles at around 6pm and later close to the Lighthouse Church at around 9.55pm that same night, sparking a huge search.
Police reissued an appeal alongside CCTV footage of him walking along the bridge towards Trafford Park.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police, said:
“Officers searching for missing Tomasz Swietek sadly found the body of a man earlier today. While formal identification has not yet taken place, his family have been informed and are being supported at this time.
“Thank you to everyone who has shared our appeals.”
