Kellen Homes has successfully handed over the keys for the first 19 properties at the Albion Place development in Salford. This marks the initial phase of a project set to deliver 168 homes. Located on the 5.3-acre site of the former British Vita plastics factory, the development will feature 96 apartments and 72 houses.
Kellen Homes’ project manager Liam Ruddock expressed pride in the project, highlighting the transition from houses to homes as new residents move in.
Ruddock, said:
“It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to hand over the keys to Sigma to allow the first new residents to move in to this superbly located development. We are very proud of the houses that we have built here but they only become homes when people move in and make them their own, and it is great to see that underway.
“Albion Place is part of a successful and ongoing partnership with Sigma and this development will provide much-needed homes for local people in a popular location with access to great amenities. We will continue with the build and look forward to delivering more homes in the very near future.”
Sigma Capital Group, which will market these properties under its Simple Life brand, received the keys this week. Sigma’s Lee Catterall praised the collaboration, noting the high interest with over 190 renters already registered.
Catterall added:
“We’re delighted to be taking handover of our first homes at Albion Place, with what is set to be another fantastic neighbourhood with Kellen Homes.
“We’re looking forward to offering local renters a high-quality, brand-new home, teamed with a professional management approach to renting.
“Within easy reach of Manchester and Salford centres, renters can get from the best of the city whilst benefitting from car parking, private gardens, and pets welcomed at no extra cost.
“Albion Place is already proving very popular with over 190 renters already registered interest in the development.”
The development promises excellent amenities and easy access to Manchester and Salford city centers. Kellen and Sigma are also investing £1.1 million in local education, transport, and public spaces. The project continues with further homes expected to be delivered soon.
