Salford City FC has announced the signing of Welsh international Ben Woodburn on a two-year contract. The 24-year-old midfielder, known for his tenure at Liverpool and a recent stint with Heart of Midlothian, is expected to add considerable talent and experience to the team.
Woodburn expressed his enthusiasm about the move, stating:
“I’m really excited to join Salford City and can’t wait to get started.”
He added:
“I want to help the team as much as I can and push us forward.”
Salford City’s manager, Neil Wood, praised the new addition, saying:
“Ben is a fantastic addition to our squad, and we believe he will make a significant impact this season. His experience at both club and international levels will be invaluable to us.”
Sporting Director Chris Casper also welcomed Woodburn, noting:
“We’re delighted to have Ben on board. He’s a player with great pedigree and we’re confident he will play a key role in our ambitions for the upcoming season.”
Woodburn began his professional career at Liverpool, where he made history as the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer at 17. He had loan spells at several clubs, including Sheffield United, Oxford United, Blackpool, and Heart of Midlothian, before making his permanent move to Salford City.
