In a thrilling encounter, the Swinton Lions mounted a spectacular second-half comeback to defeat the Widnes Vikings 19-12. The Lions, who were trailing by 12-4 at halftime, showcased resilience and determination to overturn the deficit and claim a vital win.
Widnes initially took control of the match, with Jack Owens scoring an early try, which he then converted to give the Vikings a 6-0 lead. Despite the Lions’ efforts, Widnes extended their advantage when Danny Craven crossed the line, with Owens once again adding the extras to make it 12-0.
