Fireworks Incident in Walkden and Little Hulton Puts Public at Risk

By Carl Davison

Fireworks

A dangerous incident occurred tonight as a group of individuals set off multiple fireworks at a central crossing along the A6 road running through Walkden and Little Hulton. This reckless behavior endangered road users and pedestrians, leaving smoldering fireworks by the roadside.

Police have responded swiftly, launching an investigation to identify and prosecute those responsible. Officers investigating say that CCTV footage will be reviewed to aid in the identification of the culprits.

Inspector Corless of the Little Hulton neighbourhood team commented on the incident, stating:

“This behavior will not be tolerated. It could have resulted in a serious accident so close to the main A6. The individuals responsible will be dealt with appropriately.”

The use of fireworks in such a manner not only disrupts the community but poses significant safety hazards. The potential for accidents is high, especially on busy roads like the A6.

The police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward.
