Salford to Celebrate Armed Forces Day with Parade and Family Fun Day

Salford is set to celebrate Armed Forces Day with a series of events to honor military personnel. The festivities will kick off with a flag-raising ceremony on Monday, 24 June 2024, at 10:30 am at Swinton Town Hall, led by the Lord Lieutenant and Salford’s Ceremonial Mayor.

On Saturday, 29 June 2024, a community parade will start at Dukes Drive Car Park, Monton, and conclude at Winton Park, Eccles. The day will feature various family activities, including children’s rides, face painting, and live entertainment.

Armed Forces Day is a nationwide event that celebrates the contributions of servicemen and women, veterans, and their families. This annual celebration includes parades, flypasts, military displays, and various community activities.
