The 30-year-old has agreed terms that will see him complete a transfer from the Sky Bet League One club when the transfer window opens on Friday 14th June.

In the last four seasons the centre forward has notched 54 goals in 150 regular league appearances, including three goals in two visits to The Peninsula Stadium.

He was a promotion winner with Morecambe in 2020-21, and the striker is hoping to achieve that again in the red of Salford after agreeing a two-year deal.

“I’m made up, I spoke to the Gaffer and since that I just wanted to get it done. I’ve had a good chat with him, I have played against him and his teams in the past many times, and his teams have always been setup well, strong footballing teams, so to have the opportunity to come and play for him now is a pleasure and something that I really wanted to get done.

“The way the club is moving forward, I think it is going to be a good year for us, I really do, and I am excited to be a part of it. Don’t get me wrong we’ve got to earn our right to do so as well, and I’d like to think that we are going to do that.

“We’ve all got it in our head, we want to be up there, that is why we do it. We want to be up there and there is no reason as to why we can’t so we’ll look back in a year’s time and hopefully we’ve done it.”
